Pastor Tej was born and raised an orthodox Hindu in the shadow of Mount Everest. He accepted Christ in 1988 while living in an orphanage after the death of his mother. His calling is to plant churches and train others to do the same. Presently, he is a Senior Pastor of a church in Kathmandu, and oversees many churches and new church plants, a Bible Ministry Training Center, SARA Children’s Homes, (currently with over 30 children in three locations) and he maintains a daily Radio Ministry. The Ministry Training Center, started and supported by GTCOTR, has trained more than 180 church planters and ministers in the last 12 years. Tej’s ministries face many challenges for the sake of the Gospel, and yet the church continues to grow! In 2017 there were 425 new followers of Christ, 475 baptisms, and 120 Disciple-Making Leaders, in 55 churches under Tej’s leadership, with 10 new churches planted!
